Martin Luther (1483–1546) said: “Everyone who drinks beer goes to bed early. Anyone who sleeps long sins less, anyone who sins less receives Paradise. "

Beer is one of the oldest known and the most widely consumed beverages in the world after water and tea. It is assumed that beer was learned to make as early as 9500 BC. There were two buildings in Palmse manor related to brewing: a malt barn and a brewery. A small wooden brewery with a thatched roof existed already in the 18th century, but probably even earlier. The wooden brewery was demolished in 1809 and replaced by the current stone building in the 1820s.

The exhibition introduces the history of beer and beer brewing methods.

* The exhibition is open only during the summer season.
